Chapter Book: We have finished another A-Z mystery. Ask your child about the blue envelopes!
Homework: The packet is due on Friday again this week.
Math: We will continue to solve story problems. We are almost done with this chapter of math.
Reading: We are working hard at practicing good tracking skills. We use our tracker fingers when we are reading and we use them to follow along when our classmates are reading.
Spelling/Grammar: We will be studying plural nouns.
Wet Paint: I am tentatively planning to do a small painting project on Friday (the 6th graders will help us out.) Wear you painting clothes.
Social Studies: We will be talking this week and next about Thanksgiving. We are probably doing the Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday the 21st. I will be sending more information next week. However, I wanted to give you a heads up that your child will be encouraged to dress-up like a Pilgrim or Native American for our feast.
The Great Outdoors: Please remember that the kids go to recess even in really, really cold weather. As long as it is zero outiside, we go out. Please dress them appropriately. It is a great idea to have several pairs of socks and gloves available to them. Wet hands and feet are terribly uncomfortable.
Have a nice weekend!
