We did our first MAP test today and will take 1 next week and 2 the following week. I hope that they all try hard to do their best. We just test on Reading and Math.
Unbirthdays: Beretta and Makenzie have summer birthdays so we don't want to miss celebrating them! Beretta's unbirthday will be Friday, May 8. Makenzie's unbirthday will be Friday, May 15.
Math: We have been practicing multiplying by 0, 1, 2, 5 and 10. They are getting the hang of it. We are practicing subtracting. We are still working with reading and creating graphs.
Homework: Due Friday.
Science: We did a cool experiment to determine if soil or sand would stay in place better in a rainstorm. The soil stayed better. We will be talking about fossils next (and doing another experiment).
A.R.: The last day to earn A.R. points this year will be on May 13. We have one reader trying to hit the 200 mark and one trying to get to 100 before this year ends. Go Readers!
Reading: We will be reading, Cross Country Vacation.
This is a review week for all of the skills that we have been practicing.
Homework: Read "Slip on a Slide" and answer the questions. Due Friday.
Spelling: Review week - test Friday
