Thanks everyone for attending conferences the other night. I really enjoyed hanging out with all of you. Also, thanks for your patience. I know that several of you had to wait a little bit for your turn. The kids were so excited when I shared your "turkey feathers" with them. I actually had a parent from last year come down and leave me a note on one of our feathers - it was one of the highlights of my evening. Another gesture that really touched me was when the one family offered to skip their conference so that I could eat some dinner. I of course chose them over pizza (now chocolate would be another matter!!!).

Our first one will be on Friday, Nov. 11 at our high school gym. The second graders will be performing several patriotic songs and are encouraged to dress-up for the show. Mrs. Blair also told me that the show is open to the public, so I hope that many of you are able to attend (10:00, I believe). She will be sending home a detailed note to all of you.
Coloring Contest: Congrats to Natalie for winning the October coloring contest at the hospital!
