Can you believe that September is basically over!? Getting such good news about our school's future is a great way to end the month! I honestly think that this will be a brief newsletter.
MAP Testing: We should finish off the math section of the test this week. The reading section is completed.
Reading: This will be a review week. We will be going over the materials that we have covered so far.
Spelling: Also a review list. The homework is a mix of previous words.
Math: Honestly we should be wrapping up Chapter 1 if all goes well. We will be learning how to add 3 numbers at a time! We will also work on using the greater than and less than symbols. We will be putting numbers in order from the greatest number to the least greatest number (and vice versa).
Homework: Your homework packet is due on Friday, of course.
Science/Social Studies: Due to MAP testing and Picture Day I didn't get to finish our Social Studies unit and start the science. We will be talking about Needs and Wants for social studies.
Box Tops: I already have a spot in my room for them. Please feel free to send them in when you get sick of looking at them at home. We already have quite a few collected!
Homecoming Week Activities:
Mon. - Dress-up like a nerd
Tues.- Dress-up as a historical person
Wed. - Dress-up as your favorite plant/animal
Thurs. - Dress-up in acceptable pjs

That's all folks!!!!
Have a great weekend! I am ready to cheer-on the flag football players again this weekend. The game was the highlight of my weekend!
Thanks,
Jaime
