Wednesday will be our 100th day of school. Can you believe it? That means that you will have some special homework assignments this week.
100th Day: Wednesday is our 100th day of school. Please send in 100 small, edible items (yes, this is homework). Some suggestions are 100 Goldfish, M&M, cereal pieces, Cheez-Its, Nilla Wafers. Also, please help your child wear 100 items to school on Wednesday (100 paperclips turned into a belt, 100 stickers on your shirt, 100 beads on a bracelet, etc). Don't you just love my special homework assignments!
Box Tops: I guilted you into sharing these. We actually got some this week. Thanks!!!! Keep sending them in.
Science: We will learn about how animals meet their needs/adapt.
Math: We will practice telling time to the hour, half hour and 5 minute marks on analog and digital clocks. Please work on this at home. It is challenging for some of the kids.
Reading: Our nonfiction story this week is Ah, Music!
phonics and spelling: oi and oy words both stand for the /oi/ sound
comprehension: look at main ideas and details
vocab: attract, territory, volume, expression, creative, performance, concentrate, relieved, universal & audible
* we have started looking up our vocab words in the dictionary!
Homework: the 100th day assignments and the spelling list. That should keep you busy enough.
