Music: The kids are really excited about their upcoming Veteran's Day show at the Senior Center. They are very hopeful that many of you will be able to attend. The show starts around 12:30 on Tuesday.
Math: I suggested to many of you that you could start practicing memorizing addition and subtraction facts. We are currently trying to do 20 problems in a minute!
Next week we will be talking more about perimeter. We will be measuring more shapes in cms. We will be completing Chapter 2 (the shortest chapter ever!). The next section is story problems - oh boy!
Spelling: Review words. Homework due on Friday.
Social Studies: We will be starting our unit on "Our Government."
Reading: A skills review week. We will be doing another play! The kids have been anxiously awaiting the next play. Anyone who has a fire hat or fire jacket can send it in to use for the play (only your child will wear their items).
Homework: Due Friday.
Chapter Book: We are now reading Babe the Gallant Pig (by the same author as A Wolf Called Mouse). I was actually surprised by how many kids have seen the movie about Babe.
Thankful Turkey: Thanks for helping to get feathers on our turkey. He looks great!
Thanks again for coming to conferences. Thanks for all the positive comments and all of your support.
