February is one of my favorite months. I love Valentine's Day. For those of you who know how much I love chocolate, I am sure that this comes as no surprise. Plus, I still love my birthday (which is today). I may be over the age of 8, but cake and presents still make me happy!
The Valentine's Day boxes knocked my socks off. Wow, you guys are really creative!
Music to my ears: Speaking of knocking my socks off, Mrs. Sereday played her fiddle for us this week. She kindly agreed to come in and play for the class since we have been reading so many stories about music. Thanks Mrs. Sereday!
Reading: We did a play this week. The kids loved it. We invited the kindergartners in one day to watch half of the kids perform it. The other half of the class performed for the 6th graders. I was very proud of how well they all did. Ask your child what their role was in the play.
Next week we will be reading A Chair For My Mother. It is a realistic fiction story. (In my house, I wish that it was realistically called A Couch For My Mama!)
