Does anybody else feel like they are already so behind on their Christmas preparations?! My To-Do List at home is scaring me!
School is also a very busy place. Let me update you.
Midterms: Today midterm grades are done. These will be headed your way soon.
Gingerbread Houses: We are making gingerbread houses again with the first graders. We will make them on Friday (the 11th). I sent home a note with everything listed that needs to be sent in by Wednesday (Graham Crackers, little candies, shoebox with a cardboard insert covered in foil)..
Christmas Raffle: This year we are holding a toy raffle. I sent home a letter about this, too. There are many cool items that are being raffled off this year. The tickets cost 50 cents a chance. You can buy as many tickets as you want to. The kids buy chances for each individual item that they are hoping to win. Tickets will be on sale Dec. 14-18.
MAP Testing: I was really pleased with how had the kids worked on the reading section. We will complete the math section on Wed. and Thurs.
Reading: Our story this week is always a hit, Big Bushy Mustache.
